GLC is a firm of Five full time lawyers managed by Mr. Silwani Galati Mwantembe assisted by Ms. Marina Mashimba, Dr. George Mwaisondola, Gwakisa Gervas Nsojo and Davis Kaijanabo Muzahula.
Mr. Silwani Mwantembe LL.B (Hons)

- Mr. Mwantembe received his LL.B (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam in 1991, thereafter he joined the office of the Attorney General for one year working as a State Attorney Trainee up to January 1992. Between 1992 and mid 1995 Mr. Mwantembe worked with Tanzania Legal Corporation (TLC) as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the TLC Mwanza Zonal office. During his employment with TLC Mr. Mwantembe handled litigation assignments for a number of clients, like the then National Bank of Commerce (NBC), Co-operative and Rural Development Bank (CRDB), Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited (TTCL), the then Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO), just to mention a few. Between 1995 and early 1997 Mr. Mwantembe worked with a law firm known as Maajar, Rwechungura & Kameja Advocates based in Dar-es- Salaam, where he was responsible for preparation and perfection of different kinds of legal documents such as court pleadings, mortgages, debentures and legal opinions.
- Mr. Mwantembe was, at different periods, a part-time lecturer at the Institute of Financial Management (IFM) Dar es Salaam, giving lecturers on law subjects to students pursuing certificate and diploma courses under the London based Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB). He was also occasionally giving lecturers on the General Legal Principles of Insurance, Revenue laws and the law of contract generally.
- Mr. Mwantembe is an active member of various professional organizations like the Tanganyika Law Society and East African Law Society and he is a life member of Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU).

Ms. Marina Mashimba (LL.B Hons)
Ms. Marina Mashimba is a University of Dar es salaam graduate in law (LL.B Hons) and an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. She joined the firm after completing her internship program and after working with Munna & Company, Advocates in August 2006. Her Major areas of practice are Conveyance and Litigation.
For a long time, Ms. Marina has been dealing with drafting of security documents like Mortgages, Debentures, Deeds of Guarantee and Indemnity and other related documents for Banks in Mwanza

Dr. George Mwaisondola (LL.B)
Dr. George Mwaisondola is an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. He received his LL.B degree in 2001 and worked briefly at Mkono & Co Advocates as a legal officer. He later joined the University of Pretoria in South Africa for LLM degree where he graduated in December 2002. When he was in South Africa, Dr. Mwaisondola interned at the Legal Resources Centre in its Pretoria office. In 2003 he joined the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom for a master’s degree by research and thereafter he took a PhD in Law which he completed in 2008.
Dr. Mwaisondola is a mortgage and securities specialist. His doctorate thesis is on the law of mortgages. From September 2012 Dr. Mwaisondola spent nine months in the United States of America as a Fulbright Scholar studying the US mortgage industry. There, he worked with mortgage lenders, firms, investors and US mortgage and banking specialists. He also spent time at the East West Partners, one of the largest property developers in the State of North Carolina, to study property development and management. This experience allowed him to appreciate mortgage business in Tanzania, England and in the United States.
His areas of practice cover a wide range of corporate matters, investment, banking, securities and real estate. He has participated in major projects finance transactions involving mining and infrastructure. He is also a lecturer in law at St. Augustine University of Tanzania where he gives lectures in Property Law, Investment Law, Mortgage and Conveyance, and Business Law.

Mr. Gwakisa Gervas Nsonjo LLB (Hons)
Mr. Gwakisa Gervas Nsonjo is a graduate of the Ruaha University College (a Constitute College of St. Augustine University of Tanzania) and he received his LLB (Hons) in 2012. He has a post graduate diploma from the Law School of Tanzania and he was admitted to the Bar in July 2016. His major area of practice is General Litigation. Of recent he has done a number of litigation relating to Banking and Labour Laws.

Mr. Davis Kaijanabo Muzahula (LL.M)
Mr. Davis Kaijanabo Muzahula, is graduated from the St. Augustine University he received his LL.B (Hons) in 2012. Thereafter he was employed by the same University as tutorial Assistant after pursuing his Masters Decree (LL.M) in Economic Law. In September 2015 he became the Assistant Lecturer at the School of Law of the St. Augustine University majoring in Economic Laws which include Corporate Law, Land law, Labour Law, Banking Law and Insurance. Currently Mr. Muzahula’s areas of practice is Litigation relating to disputes on Banking and Labour Laws
LEGAL OFFICERS
Apart from the above named advocates, GLC has two full time legal officers who work hand in hand with the advocates. GLC has always been accepting students from the Law School of Tanzania for practical training on litigation and Conveyance.
